Well Guy's it goes like this
10 weeks ago i bought a ticket in a raffle with 3 friend
we bought a ticket each
first prize was a $30,000 Harley
so i gave the friend the money and a week later she gave me a ticket
Tonight i get a phone call from my mate that i won
then i get a call saying i've got the wrong ticket and mine was a differant number
so at the end of a heated chat we come to the point of getting the money $23000 cash
i will get $12500 figured the bike had bad carma
so what i going to do is put the money to a new ZX10r
so the question is Where in Melbourne is the best place to buy it
and whats the new price for them i thought $16,500
would that be right?

Can't help you for the best place / price for getting a bike. But

if you had the ticket, what was the problem with the numbers that you had to split the prize?

At the end of the day mate.. Do you have in your posession the ticket with the correct number on it??? If so, well then it's just excuses and someone being a bad loser by the sound of it...

give the bike to me that will end your BAD KARMA and i'll give you your hat back ...that's a fair deal i reckon..............lol...
Well done buddy....Congratulations

It get's you a $20,000 Harley, and they throw in 10 grand for the first years servicing and repairs.

Congrats... Your "friend" sounds like a sore loser to me...
I think you might be struggling to get a new 10 on the road for 16500 though...

i'd have agreed about your mates, you each hold onto your ticket, or write your name on the back of one each. If one of you (but not YOU) wins, then you get 2k, but if you win, you get the lot. Mates helping mates, but still when it comes down to it you should be the one deciding what to do with it. Lesson learned is never go into this shit with mates unless you hack out some sort of agreement beforehand, it's bound to cause headaches (as you soon found out).
and fark, if i just got 1k, i'd be drinking a hundred bucks worth up at Dave's i think (it's a promise!!!)

, and dropping the rest on the credit card.
if i won the rest of it? phwoar, half my financial problems would be gone and i'd take a week off and go on an extended holiday

I'd like to see that..
Lucas, Congrats on the win, anything for nothing is a good deal I guess.
The best price I could find on a new 10 was at Floyd Parkes. $16990 on the road but without the track kit if I remember correctly.
Being winter its a good time to bargain.

It just dawned on me..
One of your mates filled in his ticket, but you got the tear away from his ticket...
Is that correct??

Interesting how people show their true colours when it comes to money.
Well done on the win, you're still ahead as I see it, Lucas!

yea im guessing they bought 3 consecutive tix, and wrote names on one part & took the stubbs, but dished out the wrong stubbs...
well i may seem a lil generous , but i reckon a stuff up like that the best way to do it is to split the cash...seems fair..but in reality, the name on the ticket drawn is more important that the tear off part u keep (or throw away) neway....
i reckon if i'd of won i woulda bought my mate a few beers at least for getting me the winning ticket, but lets face it, $12k isnt bad as a win really is it??
dont b so negative..its not the $12k u lost..its the $12k u won...

Never a true'er word said.
heard someone once say on deal or no deal "i came here with nothing, so i have nothing to loose and everything to gain".

Hey Lucas, long time no hear. Still waiting for that drink from last years GP. Yeah what they said "it's still a good score" i'd prefer the cash over the potato anyway.
Give John at Morington Kwakka a call. If he can help you and match a price he will and won't bullshit you either.

Thanks all
went to Floyd Parkes Kawasaki today
was quoted $17990 on road with Track pack (pilots, Akrapovic muffler, stand lugs, afam sprocket and carbon look brake lines)
or $16990 on road without
Couldnt test ride it cause they dont allow them in the wet
but will hopefully have one over the next couple of days
Then just have to decide on the color ..... maybe black to match the helmet ..... hehehehe
and as i said earlier
why would i want a Harley when i can have a Kawasaki Sportsbike
