Bloody hell so they are going to put up thousands of signs that for starters will be unclear to the general public ,this is what happens when bureaucrats that dont understand motorcycles do the work.A big media campain would be better than spending thousands on signs .Take out the cross on the sign for starters and really if u have to have a sign there is only one needed with a picture of lane splitting/filtering in green so car drivers are aware that it is legal dont use red u pack of dickheads..

What about using the push bike lanes?
I do this every morning but so far no constables around.
Would it be advisable (when the cars are stationary)?

Still the same rules for that. The cyclists lobby got nasty on the Vicroads community feedback page when that was suggested.

... NO to using bike lanes (as they are ONLY for pushies)
but
you can filter to the left of a stationery/slow vehicle.. just don't cross the line
