re: P platers - new restrictions

i think a 50cc scooter is a bad idea, imagine how many idiots would try and bring them down major freeways. I mean a vehicle that maxes out at 60km/h in a 100km/h zone? No worries so as long as your going over a CLIFF you'll be able to keep up just fine, otherwise it'd be accidents abound.

I think It would have to be something like 125cc scooters to even be remotely safe on our roads.!

I would actually like to see 16 year olds being able to ride 50cc scooters. For one, that is about a year earlier than you'd be able to get a car, and the average 16 year old could probably afford a scooter these days. They'd learn road rules, be more mobile, but importantly they'd get to experience what it is like to be vulnerable. Might help adjust some attitudes...

i agree, maybe make it 15 even. I think i read somewhere thats what they have in Italy.

Get'm all on 125 two-smokes, they'll either learn to ride or die.

(I'm planning to get a 2-smoke weekend bike sometime in the future)
