Kerker wanted. ZRX

Sat Jul 26, 2014 6:38 pm

Hi All,
I'm after a Kerker exhaust for my ZRX as my tax check is burning a hole in my pocket.
Has anyone bought one lately and where from ?
If youve got a second hand one i'd be interested too.
Cheers
Adza.

Its a big ask Adza.....
I managed to buy a s/h one from a member here.
If I told you what I paid for it, with a 2" comp baffle... you'd probably kick me to death.

Mate, it is rare to see second hand ones kicking around. You can get them from heaps of US suppliers for not much money but then shipping costs can be a deal breaker ... mostly :D

Good luck with your search

So, I can find a couple new in Japan, either in the mat black or polished. Pretty sure they're street baffle only.

Not the cheapest I've seen (certainly nowhere near the one I sold ;) ). Cost would come to around $1k with another $100-150 in shipping.

Should be able to get a new Muzzy meg for less than that from the states.

For that price there is also any number of second hand Ti systems available from Japan.

I have a second hand one hanging in the shed that was only on the bike for a little while, but I wouldn't let it go unless I got at least a grand for it. I'm happy to hang on to it as they look so good on the bike and they're pretty rare over here and I know I'll regret it if I ever do get rid of it.

If you order a new one, the shipping will be more than $150 as the box they come in is huge, so you are probably looking at a minimum of $1300 landed, or at least that's what it was when I bought mine and the dollar was better back then. You can get a Muzzy way cheaper, but the ones I've tested had a bit of a dip at 4 or 5k RPM and personally I don't think they look as good. Another pipe that is awesome is a Brock's Meg, but, for me, the Kerker has the 'Eddie factor' and suits the ZRX the most.

Please buy Nelso's KERKER.A grand is a good price and the money would go to a good cause. I need some new tyres and parts for a number of my bikes. :kuda:

Shipping from the US it would be more expensive. As long as it fits into a box that adheres to the maximum size guidelines (I'm fairly sure it should) $150 should be about right from Japan. I can't remember what they weigh exactly but I was allowing about 10-11kg.

Thanks Kwakked up. I've tried both those sites and no Kerker for the Zrx on Webike and Dynoman's email links are unresponsive :x
Nelso thanks for the offer but $1000 bucks second hand i dunno. Shoot me some pics if ya can & i'll check it out.
I agree there are better and cheaper pipes but i too think the Kerker suits it the best.
2 weeks ago a crazy truck driving lesbian came flying round a corner on my side of the road and smashed into me with the bull bar which i bounced off and went flying.
Luckily it was slow speed and i was ok but the poor Rex got smashed radiator, pipe, and broke both foot pegs etc. Maybe if i had a Kerker on she might have bounced of me :kuda:

Hey J.B
I'm not that good at speaking Japanese and from the Translated descriptions on Webike i've read :? i'd probably end up buying a Komono or something.

You could always speak to Show & Go in RAdelaide, they are the aussie distributor. ;) If you get it from OS, as Neslo said, the box is huge, and it WILL be over the $1000 threshold incl freight so bend over and get ready for a reaming.....with no lube.

Nelso's pipe was only on the bike for a few months, so it's not going to be that second hand, if you know what I mean.

Also, check out the Supertrapp site in the US, I am pretty sure they are only made on request these days.

BTW, I love my Kerker :kuda:

I paid over $1300 for it, so I'd want atleast that much. I just havent got around to fitting it yet. Nelso's offer of a very slightly used one at $1000 is a good deal IMHO, I mean, a new one is going to look like that in a few weeks anyway.
