Yankee's exhaust should fit but the one's off the 03/04 models won't without some modifications...

I just spoke to exhaust pro's at slacks creek and I might get my existing pipe re-skinned as it would only cost me $90-130. They also quoted me $570 for replacement sports muffler. I think that's expensive...
Can they make the muffler slightly louder if I wanted that?

same exact pipe between the two!

(as far as i can find out!)
i was also thinking, i could swap you mine for yours... plus about $200...
that'd make it easy for you! then your done and i can worry about the scratched pipe....
just cuz the "new slip cover" that the ppl at the exhaust joint do for you won't have the "K" and associated etchings!!!
let me know!!

$570 for an aftermarket pipe is about average I'd say..
I know my yoshi is worth about $800 so sounds about right..
If all you're doing is fixing it so the scratch is gone, just get it reskinned
And i'd say they could make it louder but prob cost more money

if u re-skin the current pipe without the etchings etc, it will look like its been dropped....why would ne1 fix a stock can??
u wouldnt get more for a bike with a aftermarket can, then again it might deter sum1 from buying it...dunno why? ive always been told (and yes i wasa bike salesman) its MUCH easier to sell a stock bike than a modded bike...

That makes sence.
I had a look at the reskinned muffler and it doesn't look good at all.
In that case I will either buy another genuine muffler for about $150 - 200 or get an aftermarket one for whatever they cost.
If I was to buy an aftermarket one, how much would the cheapest one be and where from????
Thanks again

yeah, i've been looking for deals left-right-and-center, cuz i was also under the impression that i should be able to get a metal pipe for the bike less than $500... but, uh, i haven't found a pipe maker that is willing to let go of a round piece of metal for less than $600!!! and normally those are shyte-house.....
hence, i still have the stock! i troll e-bay a lot.....
one day!

Im with Neka (strange but true) The stock look is better for purchasers . I looked at bikes to buy 2nd hand and all the signs of mods said to me "its been flogged/raced" May not be true but anything aftermarket was not as appealing as Box Stock . The nine I bought was untouched and I was happier to pay more for it than another that had carbon undertray , nice pipe and a rack . This guy had the stock pipe too ! Just that my head was going to be happier . The buyer always thinks they are going to be ripped so I went with the more Honest bike . You wont get your money back for the aftermarket pipe . Show a buyer the scratched pipe and show em that the fairing is undamaged and never repaired , then let them but an after market pipe . They will be happier that you were honest with them . Just my 2 bobs worth . Good luck .

Hey Neka, I called up Staintune the other day before you posted your msg. They said they don't sell direct to public anymore...
However, If you can call Adam at Staintune and ask him to do a deal for me (and Yankee maybe) than I can call him to arrange that. I'm in Brisbane (so is Yankee) so we would have to arrange postage...
