Hi all
My 02 ZX9R 'F1' didn't come with a front guard. I have looked on the net for one but they are like hens teeth. I have seen a few Z750 guards (04ish) and the front forks look very similar. Below are some photos of mine and I have taken a few measurements too. Can a Z owner please measure the distances of the mounting tabs on the forks and let me know??

the front fork mounting tabs across the wheel are 24cm apart.

the tabs on each fork are about 12.5cm from centre to centre on the front side of the fork leg. The backside tab is about halfway.
While I am begging for info are the seats from a 99 ZX9 swappable with an 02?? I have looked at the parts fiche and the front of the part is the same (35003) but the second part is slightly different. Maybe that is just the cover colour or something I don't know?

Does the guard look anything like this one?

I don't believe so???
It is a one piece unit from what I understand from looking at the parts fiche.
I did briefly check out a Z750 that was parked near my bike yesterday and it looked nothing like that one

No, I meant does it look like the F1 original? Its a spare one and I don't know what it was originally from, but I had an idea that it was a ZX9 one.

Thanks for the replies from everyone. So here is what I have learnt.
The f seat is the only one that fits; and
If I want a front guard I need to drop $125 with wet4u.

The front guards do come up now and then on ebay.

It's not difficult to adapt another guard to fit, usually just a matter of making a couple of tabs up, attach the guard to the tabs & bolt the tabs to the forks.
A guard from a C or E should be pretty close.
