Udate...... I have broken a few things trying to get the hang of it, and driving it a bit hard..... but hey, it is fun! And what better way to learn how to fix it than break it
Sooo I managed to strip the reverse gear in the first few days..... still not sure how I managed that, but oh well, out came the optidrive and in went a FOC......
I have bent a few bits and pieces such as toe rods and push rods...... so decided that I'd see what the LHS (hobiland) had in stock.....
So for the last couple of nights I have been furiously unbolting, rebolting (serveral times when I mixed it up.....) and upgrading the following.....
RPM True Track rears....
RPM A Arms
RPM Axle Carriers
Ti toe rods for the front
FOC
Removed Opti-Drive
Installed: Telemetery (RPM and Temp - awaiting voltage....)
Teckno Rear wing mount (originally put the OEM traxxas one in, but didn't like it..... too low and not overly robust)
JConcepts Rear wing (still to be drilled and mounted.....)
Close ratio gears
50wt in the shocks.... gold springs rear, green front.....
I also had to replace the slipper clutch pads....as the original pads fractured....
