Timmy whats your definition of summarise, does it include a personal visit with hands on tutorials?
I am still trying to figure out the pros & cons of owning a Grey import 250 & a Hyabussa.... would probably torch the 250 & be done with it.

as a learner the ZX2r is a pretty sweet bike. Compared to the busa or anything else not L approved... its a boat anchor at best. Just dont waste your time pulling it back up

No hands on tutorial, I don't want to be shown up with expertice

we got of to bad start and I am sorry but I dont know how many times I have gone to a bike shop, hardware store, car parts shop and got the dry hump because I am a woman and I thought here we go again, so I am sorry can we start again, I have prepped race engines back in the good old days of the castrol 6 hour which I might add was in the leading bike till doug shivas dropped it, I currently own a hayabusa, RGV 250, GS550, HondaATC200, yamaha 250 moto4quad, sachs madass125, and my new addition 1991 ZXR250, also race a couple of GSXR's and have lapped Phillip island in under 2 minutes, so hope we can be friends cheers Tracey

thanks for having the balls to come back like that - maybe I was a bit harsh as well with that initial reply, but when you see a newb on a 2fiddy asking questions about changing cam-chains........well you can guess the rest.

That is an interesting history - prepping engines for Doug Chivas ?? bloody hell that is going back a few years. You have been around a while - Neil & Doug were riding Z900's back in the 6 Hr races. That is some excellent history....

Will check the books and see if I can find any tricks to working on the ZXR motor - I have done some top-end work on these but not changed a cam-chain.

Hi Gosling nice to see you know your history but I have sorted my ZXR and it runs sweet now, see I am a bit older than you thought and yes Z900's and 1000's were fun to work on and so easy to get good power out of also worked with the Crawford brothers from Melbourne on a couple Z1300's that got raced at sandown my first road bike was a SL125 honda and then I grew up and had a 500/4 and cut my teeth on the great ocean road, I raced at tracks like Calder, sandown, hume weir, mt gambier, oran and amaroo , bathurst( gsxr750 slabside) first place I ever got over 270 K's, I see you like mad max every ride on red arrow tyres like the ones on gosling had on his bike( good in the rain) stya upright and we will chat further later if you would like cheers Tracey

never tried Red Arrow tyres back in the day my fav's were Pirelli Phantoms and the Silver Dot versions when these were released. Still use Dunlop TT100 (K81's) in the GP compound on some of the old bikes they look as old as the hills but you can still drag a peg easily with these tyres

You have raced on a lot of good tracks - not too many of them left these days. I started flagging at Amaroo in 1986.....spectated at nearly every Easter meeting at the Hill between 1979 and 1985......the good old days truly were good
