Guys & girls,
Just throwing it out there.. but.. as you might have seen in the last few years.. I'm a diabetic - who went through the life changing drama of shedding lots of weight as well as quitting smoking etc,.,,
anyway... There's a fundraising run called 'run for a reason' sponsored by HBF...(
http://www.hbfrun.com.au/)
I'm runnning the 14k's course tomorrow, and am aiming to fundraise for Diabetes WA (which is part of diabetes Australia); as a way of returning the support I have recieved over the years. So if you can spare some loose change, please feel free to dontae via: (

Any help is appreciated.... and if you donate i promise not to post pics of me
Thanks!
Nick

Congratulations to you Nick on your personal achievements!
These days I feel that Diabetes fundraising has been somewhat over shaddowed by fundraising for cancer and other groups.
All the best for the run!

It was a good run ;o)
... My partner ran with me and we finished at a nice steady time of just under 1hr 30 mins
Any one up for running the perth city to surf half marathon with me???

I've done the 'City to Surf' a couple of times - but I do the walk.
With my partner and her kids.
Pushing her 18yr-old son in his wheel-chair.
She does the downhills, they are the worst - I hate walking leaning back trying to stop the chair from running forward...
It's all good fresh air stuff, and all for a good cause.

That's awesome Brett!
Over the last few years i've come to realise anything for a good cause is worth doing! Especially after realising what organisations give back.
