Does anyone know where I can buy an adaptor for an off-the-shelf compression gauge so I can us it on a bike?
The adaptors in the kits usually aren't small enough and a bike specific gauge is over $200 on ebay!
Cheers

not small enough ? Most of the old-school bikes use 14mm threads, later stuff down to 12mm......heaps of cars use 12mm plugs these days and older cars used 14mm in many cases ....
How small do you need to go with the adapter ?

Rocket industries in eastern creek have them.. Only costs me about $12-14 for a 12 to 14mm adapter that extends about 5cm.
I can't find the 12mm adapter on their site now, but
here is a 14mm one if it helps as a starting point. it may be worth giving them a call though.

I could get you one but I don't think you'll like the price

Gos is right...
locally made Holden engines since about the late 70s (millions of them) used 14mm threads for the plugs..must be HEAPS of of adaptors around
every mechanic would have one I reckon. Even the current LS engines Holden use still have a 14mm thread

I can get a 14mm to 12mm but my spark plugs are 10mm! I've never seen a spark plug that small in a car so I think I'll need something bike specific!

go and visit a real tool shop
they have access to many suppliers that will have what you are looking for at less than an arm and a leg
or you could google compression gauge adapter 10mm and in a few secs you find things like this

Doubt I'll go for the Snap-On one as I think you need the Snap-On gauge to go with it but the first one looks like a goer!

Blurr works for Snap-On so why not PM him and ask? At least you know it will be good quality and will last.
