OK Funsters, I am awaiting delivery of a full exhaust system, PCIII and air filter for my 05 636. So I am accepting proposals from prospective dyno operators who feel they are worthy of my steed.
I want to ask you lot who you have used, would you use them again and why etc? I am in Balmain, work in Castle Hill and am willing to take the bike anywhere if it means a better result.

He doesn't have a dyno but Mick at Castle Hill Motorcycles (Victoria Ave) is a damn fine mechanic and tuner.
I'm sure everyone will have varying opinions but I think Dyno tuning is a bit of a waste of time and money (probably a couple of hundred). Just ask how many adjustments they actually make to your bike after Dynoing it. Typically it's zero, although I don't know the ramifications of installing your PCIII.
It should be a bit of a beast once all that's done though.
Good luck

I already take the bike to Mick... and I recommend him to other as well.
Surely spending all that money on hardware and not putting it on the dyno would be a waste of money in itself. All of that gear will completely screw the A/F mix and it will need to be tuned properly. Unless I am mistaken of course.
Oh yeah, I can't wait to have it all dialled in. She will scream like a banshee.

If you're fitting a PCIII - its a waste of money buying it without getting it properly tuned. I dont think you can tune a PCIII properly without using a dyno. The improvements you get throughout the rev range are just as important as the peak power gain.
It depends who you ask as to who is the best. Different dynos give different results and individual dyno's vary day to day. Love @ Artarmon, Doin Bikes, Radar's @ Castle Hill. Just ring them all and ask them questions and find one youre happy with. Ask them to do a before and after run as well and give you a readout so you can see the changes and improvements befoer the mods and once they have tuned it.

What you want to ask for is to do a custom map from scratch I dont know the operaters in sydney but some of them are inclined to go for a downloaded map that is close and fiddle with that which saves them time but is not really what you want.

Haven't used them personally, but a few close friends have and have been very happy with the result. Two people have had custom maps done with their PCIII, one a VFR800 and one a CBR954RR. I'd def give Dyno Dave and Sydney Dyno a call. He's based in Kensington.

Hey strika have you seen what they got out of a 05 636 with a pc3 + igmitian module and exhust at ivans performance looked pretty impressive to me.

Of course how long it all lasts is another question.
