Kawasaki Racing, Development & Testing

The French Grand Prix seemed to mark the unofficial start of the MotoGP silly season, with much rumour and speculation about the futures of - amongst others - Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa and Olivier Jacque.
However, one of the most 'interesting' Le Mans whispers involved Kawasaki making an alleged 3.5-million euro offer to secure the services of Repsol Honda's Max Biaggi.
"About the rumours that say that Kawasaki offered me 3.5-million euros to join them, I can only say that it's positive because it means that I am considered a winner," commented Max on his official website. "But I'm fine where I am, in HRC, and I don't want to move.
"My potential and that of my team have not been expressed yet. It is much higher than it seemed today. Of course there is still is work to do, but I want to win with Honda and I know that this is possible very soon," he added.
Meanwhile, Biaggi was forced to sit out the two-day post French GP test - which concludes on Tuesday - due to injuries sustained when he was thrown from his factory RCV during Sunday morning's warm-up - but hopes to be fully fit for his home event, the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, on June 5.
"I'm forced to leave Le Mans without testing the new parts that HRC brought here," he confirmed. "The pain is so big that I can't get on the bike, not even on its stand... I'm very lucky, because when the bike threw me far up in the air I landed with all my weight on the lower part of the spine, where the leathers have no protections. I felt such a crack I thought I broke some vertebras. Now I only hope to recover in time for the Italian GP."
Despite his morning injury, Biaggi went on to finish a hard fought fifth in the French Grand Prix

I'm not a fan of Max so I hope he doesn't move across to Team Green...
I do think we need someone that's been around and up the front to help with the bike's development... Nothing against Nakkers, I think he's doing awesome but imagine what Kawasaki could achieve if they had someone of equal or better ability to him.

If max goes to team green i'm changing brands ...
Valentino needs a new challenge i reckon, he should go across to kwaka.

Stuff that, I'd hate to see Max on a Kawasaki

he's a whiny little....I'd better stop there before I really get going
I think they should have kept Gazza. On a good bike he'd be blitzing them.

I hope not, if the got rid of McCoy for calling the bike uncompetitive, imagine the whining they'll get from Max !
The bike that Rossi is riding wasn't good enough for him and now neither is the Repol honda.

after a title like 'kawasaki targets biaggi' i was soo hoping there would be mention of a gun or a protest.
I would hate to see max on the kwaka. it would just be whinging all the time about "its the bikes fault im coming last" and "its the bikes fault im going bauld" or "its the bikes fault im a failure in the sack" and so on...

Max last won a race when? Doesnt that mean he comes under the heading of old blubber that should be cast off to make room for a new rider?
They should buy casey stoner

a rider with a future rather than one with a past.

Max is a fecking loser!
"...but I want to win with Honda and I know that this is possible very soon"
Soon? Fuck off. He wont win a single race all season. He spends years and years whinging and complaining, finally he gets on the bike with the most money thrown at it, more development in it, first dibs on everything, more support than any other team and he doesn't know what to do with it.
Rossi's bike was always apparently better because he had the factory honda, whereas Biaggi had to deal with some "shitty" satelite bike. What a load of horse shit. He hasn't had a decent result all season for someone whose supposed to be capable of challenging Rossi for the championship, and did better on the Camel then he ever will on the Repsol.
If anything, he'll do a Damon Hill in the next few years, and jump on board with shit teams with small budgets that aren't really ever going anywhere. And I doubt that, because there's SO many young guns in so many different series out there, I doubt any of the factory teams will waste their time with such a whinger, when they can get some young gun whos itching for the opportunity and willing to take what they can get and make it work.
Every bike has problems, and its the good sportsmen who can always perform. Biaggi has only ever done well when everything went perfectly, the smallest thing wrong and he's lost it completely.
I loved reading his post-race China interview, where he bitches and whinges about such pointless tiny things, where Jacque, on a bike no where near as fast as his, and a guy without a proper GP ride in 2 years, made him look like the amateur he is.
If Kawasaki offered him a ride, I'd be devastated!
