Noise Testing

After Sunday I may need to get my exhaust tested, does any body now who does this on the Central Coast or Sydney?

There's a number up at the Mt White cafe, which I saw on Sunday morning. It's on the noticeboard near the servery bit. You could probably give the cafe a ring as he's run the noise testing thing there a couple of times.

Did you actually get done though or was the copper just trying to be a bit smart.

No he said I would get a defect notice in the mail, I had a look at the RTA site and man they are a confusing bunch of dick heads, the cop said I could take the bike to the RTA this is not true, they don't do testing, I would have to take it to the EPA centre in Sydney for them to test it, or if the cop was just out to ruin my day I will source a baffle($20) fit the thing and get it tested and put a label on it, I hope this will be the end of this saga, should have seen his face when I took of my helmut and he saw a old fart standing there, the only laugh I had yesterday.

Crash Test Engineering do noise tests, sell spuds and will put a sticker kit on your bike.

The Throttle Stop Cafe at Berowra will have there number.

Yep - Crash Test Engineering is the mob that do it - the only mob.
John (the owner) works out of a garage down Maroubra way - but he's normally up at Mt White the first weekend of the month - though check Mt White cafe for exact details.

If the cop said he's sending you a defect for lack of the sticker then I think he was having you on. Firstly, if he was going to he should've issued it there and then. Secondly, the MCC has a recent win in courting deferring the ability of any authority (cop or epa) to issue a notice due to lack of a sticker. So I think you're fine.

And as Ty said,i think the cop was trying it on,if he did'nt knick you there and then on the spot he can't do anything.
