:P hehe
I do prefer them on the rhs but I liked it on the vfr cause the single sided swing arm was on the same side as exhaust so it left it real clean on the rhs :)
Back to normal viewing :D

It should fit the motor no worries - all the same as far as that end is concerned - you may have to do a number on the rear mount but that is pretty easy in most situations. It *may* not bolt straight on, but any differences are likely to be only really small....

yeah ok sweet, i think for the price i can get it for ill make it work, ive done abit of searching on the web and it seems 99% of systems fit both models with 1% not clearing the radiator when putting one from a d model to a c model becuase on the c model the radiator is a fraction thicker.

but in saying that if a zzr1200 system bolts straight on both c and d models i cant really see there bieng any probs. :D

People normally stand their bike using the left leg...................exhaust close to leg = not nice

so i should be able to pick up my 4into1 system tomorrow its a beet NASSERT-R system, looked on there web site and they are pretty pricey so hopfully it turns out to be a decent system but for $420 second hand i can't complain. :D

i can't get it dyno tuned for a few weeks though so should i wait until a couple days before i take it in before fitting the system or should it be ok to fit it now? :?

and yes it will exit the right hand side so it won't look shithouse lol

You have chosen wisely grasshopper :kuda:

as far as fitting it up before getting the bike tuned - unless the bike is running pretty lean at the moment, fitting the new zorst is not likely to cause any problems at all. You may notice some hesitation in certain parts of the rev-range but this can be dialled out in the tune-up process. Beet systems are one of the better ones to come out of Japan, I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of this system - I have a 4-1 system for my 1000RX - the granddaddy of the ZZR - and the system I have is pretty howyagoin :?

By fitting the system now, you will get a good feel for how it responds, but more importantly you will be in a position to compare the before/after feel of the power curve, which may not be possible if you only give yourself a couple of days with the new system before the dyno.

It really depends on the current state of tune of your bike. If it is running rich - like most bikes do - then bunging on a good zorst can often go a long way to fixing this with only minor tuning adjustments needed to get things just right. But if it is running lean at the moment with a stock 4-2......then maybe you don't want to ride the bike too much before getting it jetted correctly.

cheers mate, i don't think its running lean but i did chuck a k&n filter in it and it did get abit of a hesitation @ 5k rpm if you really nailed it off the line but after that it would break traction or pull the wheel up.
but in saying that i didn't touch the mixture screws at all.

the k&n is back out now as i wanted to wait until i got the exhaust an tune, i reckon i will chuck the exhaust on an give it ago and if it doesnt feel right i will just wait and try to get it in for a tune sooner. :D
the only thing with this system im not keen on is the carbon fibre muffler, i would much prefer a stainles steel one but aslong as it puts out some noise im not too fussed at the moment.

my dad has a 1000rx with 4into1 an his system is .... well howyagoin aswell. hahahahahahaaa

ok so went to get the exhaust today and the bad news is the person in the office that replys to emails got it wrong, it was actually a 4in1in2 system, the good news is it is a full lightwieght titanium system so i grabed it anyway as it is super light and only wieghs abit more than one of my mufflers and it allows me to change the muffler when i feel like it.

give's the bike a much sportier look as the mufflers mount on a really modern angle pointing up at the rear of the tail and looks agressive, it came with billet alloy pillion peg brackets that allow the high mount, now the sound is only a fraction louder at idle but it is a deeper note then when you nail it, it really screams but doesn't drone.

response is way up and makes for good fun riding so im pretty happy with it even though it wasn't exactly what i wanted i have no regrets at all, oohh it was a bit of a pain in the arse to fit but thats becuase i left the radiator and oil cooler on the bike and just pulled them out the way as far as i could.

can't wait to really give it ago through chain of ponds tomorrow. :kuda: :kuda:
