Hi Guys,
I've just joined the KSRC forum. I am based in Western Sydney. Who do you guys recommend for bike servicing? Bike shop? Do we have a member who's a bike mechanic and does home visit on a fee for service basis?
My 2006 ZRX1200 has just clocked up 12k. I've changed the oil and filter. I might have a go at the brake and clutch fluids. Is it true that there's a need to keep a close eye on the swing arm bolt? Any hot tips that I should know about?

G'day pah,
I flicked you the link on ZRXOA, good to see ya made it here.
Bleedin' the clutch is simple enough, but the front brakes can be a nightmare, even with a vacumn bleeder.
I have always serviced all my own vehicles inc all brake work, but the ZRX front brakes are a whole nother ball game...... sometimes, be prepared.
No problems if you don't let any air in the system, for some reason once in it can @ times be a downright pain to get out.
I would actually suggest to get a bike shop to quote you to do it & let them deal with it, which in perfect hindsight is what I will do next time.
And yeah, my ZRX suffered the swingarm nut problem @ around 20,000 klm mark from memory.
I am sure some of the local sydney riders will be along to suggest some ride meets etc & offer advice.

Hi Errol, Thanks for all the good info. How important is it to flush the cooling system at 12k? The bike is 6 years old and I note that the book says flush the cooling system every 2 years. Oops - I let that one slip.

Yeh mate, check the swingarm bolt. I had it happen to me as well, lucky I noticed when it was only loose, not missing
If you love the ZRX you will fit in well round these parts

The one other bit of advie that I have is if you do any work on your cooling system remember to bleed the waterpump
