I saw a guy on the more "Touring" oriented ninja1000 coming down Stud Rd late this Afternoon. The traffic was a little gluggy so he was splitting sensibly through the crawling traffic...................... on the back wheel!!!! :kuda: I was laughing my head off. that sort of behaviour should be encouraged!!! :kuda: :kuda:

Thanks all..yes she is a lovely looking machine for sure..and I don't think they come much "blacker".. I was a bit tempted by the new orange colour scheme but although its appealing I'm not sure I would want to live with it. new_rainfro.gif I do like the polished rims that they have on the prior models but apart from that I think they look pretty dam smmmmick "out of the box"..

The zed feels quite similar to my last bike (2003 zx9)..but I was taken aback by how much space there is in the rear seat compartment..as in hardy any !..in the old zx I could fit the tool kit..mobile phone and I used to carry a can of the puncture repair stuff (don't know if that's the go these days??)..but on the new zed I could only just fit my wallet in there!.. ky.gif

Yes I am sure mods will be on the agenda at some stage.Pity they didnt incorporate a gear indicator into the onboard readout..wouldnt mind getting one of those just to prevent me from looking for seventh gear.
After not being on a bike for a while and driving a low revving V8 car ..it's going to take me a while to get used to using something (apart from my whipper sniper) that I can rev!

The owners manual says that one should not exceed 4 thou during the running in period..which will be hard for even a woose like me! angel7.gif

oh yeh I'm in Ascot Vale..Cheers

I'm happy to run it in and scrub in the tyres for you. I can only ride for 20 or so klms at the moment, so won't go far...... but it'll be right to go when I give it back ;)

top looking machine........break in period is very hard.....have fun

For the first couple of rides I thought i would have no trouble with the break in period..but I am already finding it hard to stay at or under the suggested 4 thou rev limit!

It would be nice to remove the rear fender but I am a little hesitant after reading that most fender eliminators are illegal in Vic..

Nice way to get back into it mate. They're an awesome piece of gear and highly personaliseable.
