Painting Brake Rotors?

So my bike got rained down a bit and have noticed the centre of brake rotors are now showing a slight bit of rust marks. My Kawa was in for service/upgrades at Flywheels on tuesday and yesterday when i went to pick it up Ron said i could paint the centre of the brake discs???
Anyone knows WHAT kind of paint i need to use? Where to find it? Any other tips on getting this kind of paint work done would be... ????

hmmm, enamel hein? not too sure about it, read some articles just now and apparently POWDERCOAT is supposed to work better...
anyone has tried any one of them? enamel or powdercoat???

Enamel on the old ZZR, bloody lovely but took a week to dry in winter

VHT caliper, drum, and rotor paint (rated to 480 degrees). Should be able to get it from REPCO for around $20 a can.

If you can get away with it, once it's final coat has dried, put it in the oven to cure. The best way is in intervals, slowly increasing how long it stays in there and how ot it gets. Do this about 3 times at 100, 130 and 180'c for about 20-30 minutes at a time. Take it out and let it naturally cool to room temperature each time and then pop it in at the higher temperature. This gives the enamel the best chance of hardening completely.

When it's an exhaust i just fit it carefully and run the bike for increasing lengths of time while stationary (soft enamel can chip easily from debris on/from the road) so you can't really do the same thing for the rotor.

I would use a roller and paint the whole disk pink as thats such a lovely colour in the spring time. Jim time.
Definitly use a high temp paint. There are high temp paints for exhausts in a rattle can available for up to 2000 degrees F. make sure you rough it up with sand paper and you may need a primer on bare metal.
