Why don't you ring Bert at Small Coil rewinds and have a chat with him about it. I am assuming the H motor which has been modded to fit in the J chassis, doesn't have an ignitor with it? Is there a way to find out who built the motor. The reason is, if you tell Bert what it's got in terms of internal set up, he will know how to make the curve. He has done a million of these things. Plus, as the H and J will have totally different fuelling, timing, stroke, bore etc., what works with the J may not work with the H in terms of ignition timing.

There is most likely a good reason that someone went to the trouble of converting a H motor into a J chassis and that is, without the full Factory Suberbike kit for a J, they wouldn't pull your brother off your sister. They were a mega short stroke motor with no torque but also ran out of puff up top, so the motor in stock form was useless. Hence why someone has gone to the trouble I assume, of building a H motor. The H's you could get some decent top end power out of with some tweaks.

Another guy to speak with, who knows his way around H stuff, is Gavin Cosway in Melbourne. He ran a GPX750R Superbike (Someone famous rode it, Goddard? Johnson? Someone like that??) which he still has and a H superbike as well. So he might have some bits and pieces for them too.
