Drilling carbon fibre

Postby 98ninja » Sun May 08, 2011 9:18 pm

I have some straight through ram air ducts for a zx9r.
Since buying them ive realised ill need to connect the pressurizer tubes to the air ducts.
As you can see from the photo, they dont have the holes to connect the tubes to.
Ive also noticed that the part on the standard intakes can be screwed off and perhaps stuck
onto other intakes.
So, should I butcher these and see someone who can drill carbon?
or just try and sell them on?

Do you know where they attack on your model? If so I'd keep these.

Why would you not just drill out the holes and insert the tubes with a small wipe of black Sikaflex around the joint area to hold the tubes in place?

Soooo many spelling mistakes here....and it's carbon fibre, not carbon, that's something different altogether

I'm sorry frasier
I typed it on my phone. I thought it was a good effort for me not to throw the phone prior to completion.
