FMD was he out on bail when he was caught?
Would have thought 12 months loss & fine would be it

I thought $200 and neg driving would be it! Must have have been more to it? :? If not I must not be in tune with what our society thinks a fair punishment for that is.

NSW and SA might be a bit different Tim. My neg driving was $430 and 3 points two and a half years ago. The front wheel only just started to lift (about 6 inches) when I buttoned off and changed gear because it was in town and it was still enough to be considered a wheelie. :? I wanted to go straight out and do a propper one so I could at least be charged for a decent offence. Next time you see Wade, ask him about his wheelie that he got a ticket for; at least he earned his. ;)

These days I think they probably put wheelies in the same basket with burnouts in cars or racing your mate/son  off the lights ie illegal street racing. Do any of those and you are up there with rapists and murderers, at least in terms of the news coverage you get

Damn I picked the wrong era to buy a ZRX........
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

Yea SA police are nazi's when it comes to these new hoon laws.... It's ridiculous... It was classed as reckless driving.... It was a mono from a standing start at a set of lights... He had no serious priors.... Certainly nothing criminal.... I think he had a speeding fine... (small one) and maybe one for excessive noise... But that's it...

And no he didn't try to do a runner.

Ultimate mono machine:

I'd probably still struggle to get it on one wheel.

Wheelies fall under the "hoon laws...you may end up walking for quite some time and can be very costly!

Learn to ride first. By a little dirt bike, get hold of some land and go nutz!
