well people i have just had my mighty 2002 zx9 serviced for the 12000km. When booking in for the service said i was a KSRC member and the bloke said "Ah they will sought that out at the end" ... So had her serviced, more than expected!! apparently i need a new clutch after 12000kms of 1 trackday, a couple of slow rides and alot of riding to work.
Anyway it came to $650 and went to the counter to pay and they didnt know who KSRC... was even wearing the "official" shirt and still didnt want to give the discount. The bloke said that he had never heard of us and asked rest of the guys in the dealer, they had never heard either.
So if your thinking about going there then dont include the 10%discount on parts etc. ( i know its not much $ but it $ all the same). Dave they asked me to get you to re organise the discount. Should member Cards be discussed again?
My 2c said. im over it now. Other than that the bike feels like a new one... well it did after i got a Kwakka sherpa for the day.

I have only visited them once- the Tuesday after the Bathurst races in 2000, and they were VERY unfriendly, to the point of being RUDE. I found however, that Sydney City Kawasaki were excellent, and spent 45 minutes checking the brakes of my out-of-warranty ZZR1100......no charge. I bought a tin of chainlube from them...pity I didn't need anything else...well a set of front rotors....
Mind you I had a run-in with Whales Kawasaki a couple of years ago when I returned a pair of bike boots that had fallen apart after 3 wearings- they wouldn't give me my money back, and I ended up riding across Brisbane twice to the importer unnecessarily because the importer told me that they would have approved the return over the phone. Swore then and there to never spend any money there again....
Was going past Whales again today and noticed a used ZZR1200 a year older than mine, so stopped to see if it had the same problem with it that mine has, and Kawasaki so far refuse to warrant- it has and I spent a good half an hour talking to Geoff there, who amazingly remembers who I am and where I am from. Very personable bloke- I nearly bought my ZZR12 from him, but a competitor was a bit cheaper......He was very happy to help me with my warranty claim even though I didn't buy the bike from him. Good service! Anyhow to cut a long story short you can't tell a dealer by one or two staff........

I agree. 9 out of 10 times I visit a bike shop I am unhappy with the service. But I bought my 636 from Parra because they did look after me. Other kwakka dealers I visited just didn't seem to want me to buy a bike from them.

ive only ever window shopped at parra due to finances falling through, however they have always been helpfull and honest. (i worked in the industry in sales, i dont tell salesmen this unless im def buing so they cut the bs)
they returned my call when i bike was available and actually took the time to ACKNOWLEDGE my prescence even if they were busy..
parra is def better than, bankstown and kograh. i laugh at those stores. kograh is damn poor, and bankstown is ruder than rude! and seem to know less than the customers when it comes to stock and availability (sportsbikes)

Ive found parra kwaka to be very rude and unhelpful, and kograh scm to be just plain unhelpful. But i supose it depends on the salesman you get when you visit. I didnt really deal with bankstown, but they are cheap!!!

I've bought my last 3 Kawasaki's from Sydney City Motorcycles Lane Cove. I must say, they have the BEST dealer service I've even had the pleasure of. Its a pitty they are now an exclusive Honda Dealer but their other 2 stores in Kograh and Liverpool still sell Kwaka and Lane Cove still service Kawasaki's. Became great mates with one sales guy who I regularly do track days with. He riders a 400. They always look after me and the ZX10 was around $2000 cheaper than at Parra Kawasaki!!
With my 12,000 kms service, the blokes at Parra Kawasaki wanted $650 or so but lane cove did it for $400, bit of a no brainer who I chose.
Though i will add, when it came to tyres, Parra Kawasaki sold me a set of Pilot Powers for $500 fitted, so was happy with that since the others didnt want to come down from around $570.
There were a few good guys there, but overall I didnt quite enjoy my visits to the place.

WHAT?

Are we talking about the same tyres here? Are you sleeping with the manager? How on earth can you be getting a set of tyres $200 cheaper. I would not have thought there was that much margin in them.
Either way can you send us the name of the shop so that we can mail order them from down here

. C'mon mate, share the wealth!
