I stayed in a house at Vetnor one year, which was great, close to the track and near the beach however from the enquiries I've made so far this year, seems pretty booked out so a girlfriend and I were planning to stay trackside this year, however have been unable to find any info regarding pricing and booking etc.... Is it too early??
Sounds like you guys have been many times; so any commments or feedback on staying trackside you could give me would be appreciated.
Thanx in advance!

Have you tried the Phillip Island track web site ? Thats how I book trackside the other year. Make sure you book in advance or you'll be in for a long wait at the gate.
The only negative that I found trackside was the toilets and showers just weren't cleaned often enough but it is non stop partying trackside.

With the skills available from the brethren of this site, this is a variable option if we all chip in...

See, the internet can be used to achieve great things.

The only thing is that it requires an exhaust, I have a slip-on that should add about 3hp with a power-commander

Robyn,

T and I stay normally at the other "on-site" campsite at the track it's called the Highside campground. you pay for the 3 days and it's a touch quieter than "trackside campground". if you need any further info PM me or T about it.

I must say however we (T and I) are waiting on what everyone else in our club is doing before we book Highside.

cheers

We're probably going to take the Landcruiser down with the bikes on a trailer. Might have space for a spare bike, certainly space for heaps of gear, but only two seats 8)

Troopy is a great place to sleep - dry and portable

I do a lot of seriously thinking.... it hurts I know... but, I'm going to buy a shower blind from a camping place. T reckons I'm mad but I know my kids will use it at other trips besides PI.

I say Highside is the go... get there sometime on the Friday and you have the back fence tp camp against. Good ppl and short walk to ammenities or over the fence ya go.... lol

I have in all the 6-7 years of camping at Highside had no concernable trouble, met some very good ppl that have extended a great deal of friendship. Meet up with them every year some of them.

One guy even still has one of my old groups "FULL BLOWN PISSHEADS" t-SHIRTS...

Alas but I'm rambling again....

cheers
