There appears to be a consensus from a few caravan parks not to take any bookings in general its almost like they are trying to run the business as a loss so they can sell the land for apartments ... Change the rezoning .. It was a couple of years ago we had a problem with Boomerang caravan park gradually redusing number of available spaces and putting onsite vans only and placing us in the shitty run down tent section when we had a 25ft van....

Also there are other options of caravan parks it may be further from cowes but sorrento has a BIG 4,
Also here a a few names of other van parks don't know what ammenties are like but Mars and I will be going to the ISle soon to check them out also making sure things to keep kids occupied...
Anchor Belle, Amaroo, Cowes Caravan Park, The Islander, Bushy PArk,

We stayed at Boomerang and the noise coming from Islander went on till 5in the morning and Mars and Dave one year got told off by the owner, but they did nothing about the apologizing for the noise from Islander...
Then to top it all off they rang to see if we wanted to make a booking.....NO

Anyway this is my BITCH!!!
The guy just doesn't want to work in a carqavan park and is having a mid life crisis...

In comparison to previous group camping experiences (although not with KSRC) I found everything very tame. Little was done or said that affected my kids (who were in bed at 9), nothing got trashed, we cleared our litter and every tent was standing in the morning. Admittedly there was some use of corse language, but that's to be expected. As for paying, I think we all paid before the tents had been erected - I know I did.

It has to be an issue with groups, and I wouldn't give him any more of my money if it were the last place to stay on the island - I say KSRC boycotts him (as a group or as individuals), and try and make sure those we know do the same.

bummer..good work guys...haha...im keen to come to GP, im hoping i can borrow a tent again (dan??) ...it would be nice to all stay together tho, id rather do that personally....cant we contact a van park & ask if we can book out a whole heap of sites (maybe a discounted rate??).. imean its GP time, they wanna get ppl in there so they can make $$, if only for a weekend..i say make a few calls, find out who will take a group of us, and if no1 will- we all book seperately & just congregate....haha
yea i cant wait...

I'm in where ever we manage to crash. Lexy and the kids probably won't be coming this time, so I'm up some action worth getting banned for

Will probably be on the bike so will have minimal gear, unless I manage to scoop an old Kombi. Days off work already sorted

Mike your beer is safe. As i said mate, this was the first time since i can remember. It was on Monday morning after, i hate to think of how many beers later. I don't think it was the million beers, probably something i ate.
I've learnt my lesson now and i'm going back to my preffered method. "Eatens Cheaten"

On the subject of GP accom. I read mention of staying trackside.....
I stayed in a house at Vetnor one year, which was great, close to the track and near the beach however from the enquiries I've made so far this year, seems pretty booked out so a girlfriend and I were planning to stay trackside this year, however have been unable to find any info regarding pricing and booking etc.... Is it too early??
Sounds like you guys have been many times; so any commments or feedback on staying trackside you could give me would be appreciated.
Thanx in advance!
