dead battery advice

Postby matchan » Thu Nov 25, 2010 4:30 pm

Hi All,

Well I left my track bike ignition on all the way back from PI, basically 24 hours.

There is enough juice left to power the dash light but nothing else, just a click if I try to start it.

Is it worth charging the battery or is it just cactus? Its always been strong up till now btw.

Cheers
Matt

Should be okay to charge up again.

Damage usually only occurs if left discharged for an extended period of time.

Excuse for the hijack, but dave, can you recommend me a charger that'll do both the bike and the commodore. ATM i've only got one that'll do a 2.5A and I think my battery is 9AH? So I should be getting one that can do 0.9A yeah?

Last time I got a click when I hit the start button it was a dropped valve. Good luck

It'll be right mate, just stick it on a charger.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
