Rearset fitting question

After the last track day, and the trouble I was having with the stock pegs I decided to get some rearsets. What I went for were a set of middle-of-the-road adjustables which I had a go at fitting last night.
Most of it went together well and the bike's lost about 400g as an unintended side-effect.
I've noticed that removing the stock RH foot controls gets rid of the return spring for the brake pedal which makes the master cylinder movement a bit notchy. Playing with the angles and trying to space out the master cylinder seems to have helped but I'm not completely happy.
Has anyone got any advice as to what I should try out, or is this not a big issue?
My plan is to get things lined up the best I can, then tighten and loctite it all down and take it to a carpark I haunt for a bit of a test. I might also try using a rubber band as a return spring if the test ride brings up any issues with the rear brake.

I found the spring in the m/c and the rubber boot was enough to push my brake pedal back down if everything was aligned and lubed.
I did have to muck around with spacers to get it right, but once done, its fine..

Cheers. That's what I thought, considering the front brake MC doesn't have any extra springs. Just thought I'd ask as I'd seen some guys use rubber bands and others fork out for springs and plates etc.
Now if only the rain stop for a bit...

My one has a problem where the spacer from the footpeg is not long enough to just touch the outer bearing so the tighter I do the footpeg the more the MC locks on, I had installed a spring at the track to get me out of trouble as the back brake was on the whole of the first session I will attack the lathe this weekend for a new spacer if I can get 5 minutes.

Oh & the set on the six needed quite a bit of tweaking to line up & copius amounts of wd40 to keep it freed up without a spring

The kit didn't come with any spacers and I had to improvise. If the cylinder is still not moving freely I'll keep an eye out for something I can steal a spring out of (I can feel another ghetto fix coming up).

Finally fitted and tested last weekend.
Didn't need a spring, the spacers seemed to do the trick for the brake MC.
From a half hour test ride (figure 8s, 1-2-3-2-1st shifts in a carpark) everthing seems to be good.
After getting over the original amount of flex in the assembly (compared to the stockies) I feel a lot more confident with the fixed short pegs.
