Un-restricting my ninja 650r

Postby Dannymac » Wed Jul 28, 2010 6:58 pm

Hey guys!
Just thought i would start a new post about my 2009 ninja 650rl, As i am not getting over the power of it and want to un-restrict it! I am told on the 2009 model it is just the simple removal of a small grub screw located above the throttle, I have found the screw but having trouble trying to undo it! all the star key set`s at home and at work do not fit! So im thinking it may be a one off size or something any help would be great! Cheers guys safe riding!

You need a torx t20 to remove it. (or an easy out.. :-) )

This may help..

Hey Dannymac, just be careful with your warranty when unrestricting, I know that Yamaha have said if you unrestrict their learner legal 600 it voids the warranty just be careful with yours, but enjoy the extra power.
