Link Pipe

Postby Blurr » Wed Apr 21, 2010 5:52 pm

Does anyone here bend steel pipe?

I want to fabricate a link pipe for the 08 ( a short piece of SS pipe that connects the headers to the slip on).

Need to do this relatively soon so i can run the PC with a decent map.

Any help would be appreciated

cheers

Russ you can buy pre fabricated stainless bends in varying degrees, and straight pipe. Just work out what bends you need and cut it all to fit together yourself. All you need is it to be welded together then.

Most benders will distort the pipe at the bend reducing the radius, which effects performance, unless you can find someone with a mandrel bender(not many around).

My way took me about 20mins including the welding!
