You should only need one. Dave shared a little tip with me to avoid needing the bigger socket. Just leave the two pinch bolts at the end of the fork on the side needing the larger diameter done up, while you undo the pinch bolts and use the 17mm hex socket on the other side to undo your axle. Once the axle is loose, loosen the last two pinch bolts and completely undo and remove the axle.
