I have no idea, I just know it feels better somehow.

He probably reconnected the flux capacitor... The 10's run great since we found where to connect them :kuda:

my dads battery in his ducati, cough cough, was getting tired and finally gave up. i changed it for him and he reckons the bike runs alot better and feels better, engine and performance wise.
not shore if its in his head or if its actually true lolz.

my battery gave up last week on the 6, such a pain in the ass to get it out, its seriously the worst design ever, the seat and tank need to come off and all the fuel needs to be drained as the bracket that the tank swivels on needs to come off to!

but i wasnt doing it any favors either, the bike dosent get ridden much over winter so i would start it up once in a while and let it idle to operating temp and turn it off, which is what im guessing killed my battery, its not even 3 yrs old!

you dont need to drain the fuel to take the tank off, just unclip the quick release fuel line, power to the fuel pump and its outta there.

on the 10, you pull the ecu out of the way (all while attached still) its only rubber lugs holding it.
and the battery slides out. :kuda:

that's exactly what killed it.

Best bet for bikes that are not ridden a lot over winter, is to buy a 'battery tender'. These babies can be left hooked up for weeks on end, they will just keep your battery at a 'floating' charge rate of 13.2v or so, and the bike should kick over easily whenever you want to go for a fang.

By far the best way to keep the battery in good nick - is to ride the bike every day. I still have the OEM battery in the MFP12, and its pushing 4.5 years at the moment - still cranks over as good as Day 1.

i bought one of those battery tenders for the new battery that has a loom you can leave under the seat for easy access....

only question with these is, is it safe to have the battery connected to the bike while the charger is doing its thing? i know its only like 900mha but other chargers i have used when disconnect you can hear the battery bubbling inside!

I guess it wasn' the battery

Now having the same issues again. Now I need to work out if it's not charging properly (which I think it is), or what is draining the battery.
