my thoughts exactly, apparently like i say i need the 636A kit, i thought the bikes were identical anyway...

well the first gen 636 was the j series with a 636 engine in it and They did what they did with the late model 9 and put the u bracket on. So it would still mean that with the j series I would need the u bracket and if I had the 636 I wouldn't need it because I would already have it. It seems as tho it's all backwards
