I'll be getting $6300 after all is sorted.
So I am limited to what I can update to, I might just replace it with another 7.
Lets go to the Casino double once and get your bike I'll even take care on the gap in between
I would look at a 636 03 or 04 they are a good bike the rear a little hard for the road though

No one has a problem with the 7...... But if you have ridden a newer bike which is lighter steers better and probably has more horses as well....
Why would we buy a older bike???
But seriously go for what in your heart mate! I'm just a gee up

When I made the switch from my track 7 to the track 636, I hated it.. I was 5 sec slower, thing wanted to wheelie and shake its head everywhere, front end didn't seem as secure, couldn't lock into the tank properly; coming from the rock solid 7 this thing was trying to buck me off every corner at every track I took it to. It languished away in the garage and I continued to take the 7 out because I enjoyed it so much more. I'd probably still be riding the 7 except it ironically had enough of me at T2 EC and needed a little rest in the kitty litter which provided the impetus to get the 636 set up properly.
Now, I love the 6, it's set up quite nicely, but I definitely think there's something to be said for older bikes.

I haven't ridden a 7r before so I can't talk bout how it handles or how it goes.....
The rear on the 03 / 04 636 has a hard rear that probably why it wanted to wheelie every where and head shake as well...... Bumps on the normal roads where a little harsh at times as well

Thanks for the imput guys
I'll be taking a 2003 636 for a test ride on Saturday & see what I think.
If I can find a 2003 636 for $7K that would be good but all the ones I have seen are a bit more than that.

Keep looking Joe. For $7k I reckon you'll get an 05. 04/05 zx10's can be had for 8 -9k
