OK so Im wanting to buy a good Digital SLR! But what to get??? Too many brands options etc. Id like to walk into a shop, know what Im after and what I should pay!!! Or better still anywhere on the net to save some $$$??? Sort of an introductory to good photography type camera with decent lens etc. Budget around the $1K mark (cheaper preferred) Decent shutter speed... IE something that you all use to snap the bikes on the track etc!!!
Cheers

In time I definately want bigger pictures / prints posted on the wall around home. So yeah a decent lense is essential. What numbers (ie scale range) should I be looking for in the f rating and quick auto focus? To give you an idea Ill be taking happy snaps of rugby, bikes, cars etc so moving sports!
