Isn't it illegal for anybody but a licensed roadworhty tester to inspect a bike?
Took her in for a roadworthy and the guy reckons the rear is not roadworthy :?
It is a mm above the wear indicators and he reckons it should be 1.5mm, I printed the reg's and showed him and he said
"I'll have to wait for the licensed guy to come in a sign off on it".
Turns out the licensed guy is in Melb for training!!! And the Bastard never came back b4 5 o'clock so I have to go back at 9am tomorrow :x
Second time this shop have farked me around with a RWC
Not happy Jan and they will learn just how unhappy tomorrow morning
Fuckers have taken the shine right off it :(
Well almost ;) :D :kuda:

i thought the 1.5mm was from the bottom of the tread, not the indicator.

ie when the indicator touches the ground, tyre rooted. :?

good to mechanics in aust leave it to anyone to pass the rego's...that makes me feel safe.
not saying the 14 is "un safe" or anything :D

Thats exactly right as I showed him in print.
He's not even licensed thats why he doesn't know.
He does the inspections and the licensed guy just signs it
I will not be buying a new tyre from them and if they stuff me around in the morning I
am going to Vicroads to report their illegal practices ;)

Looks awesome mate. Good to see you liked the name suggestion too. ;) The issue with the rego will fade into insignificance once you take her out of town and open her up. There's nothing like taking a new bike out for your first ride on it. 8)

ZZR is gone......but I had to ride 25 klm's in the rain to deliver it because the 65 yr old
who bought it brang a trailer to pick it up and..........it didn't fit
Oh well it was good to have a last ride on the old girl :kuda:
I could feel the torque riding the 14 home but it was very wet so I couldn't give her a decent rev up.
Gimme a sunny day please please please :D
