I'm with dilligaf get yourself a copy of the life of brian, some decent organic substance, a bit of metal on the stereo and I will get you a recording of the Kerker, mate the bod will heal and you'll be rexing around before you know it as for the other stuff who knows, again "Always look on the bright side of life"

Thats hard luck for sure, know where ya at mate, plenty of good people here to help
Tue Jul 28, 2009 9:39 am
Dilligaf, I haven't seen the Life of Brian for years so that gave me a good chuckle.
Thanks again to everyone for their kind words both here and via PMs. As a bloke you tend to keep this sort of thing to yourself until it builds up and you feel like punching holes in things so it felt good to get it off my chest. The support shown from everyone here and other friends (including my wife's family

) has helped me to keep a positive outlook. I am just trying to keep plugging away at things until my luck turns around and know that it's only a matter of time before things start to improve. I tried to get the doctor to let me go to work this morning but they wouldn't give me a clearance so I am stuck at home for at least another week with the orders to stay off my feet and rest my knee so I'll see how long it takes before I get bored and go out of my mind.

if it continues to get you down get the doctor to refer you to a trick cyclist. been there and done that and it works

I don't think I'm there yet and in the grand scheme of things my problems really don't compare to what many others have to put up with so I have to keep reminding myself to put it all into perspective, stay positive and keep moving forward (in other words HTFU

). I know I'm preaching to the converted but there are some remarkable people here at KSRC and the offers of support I have received in such a short period of time has been overwhelming. I can not express how thankful I am for everyone that has taken the time to write words of encouragement and offer help and support.

Shame to hear that things aren't going as you hoped and I know its easy to say but it is best to stay positive and look forward, you will feel down sometimes and this is ok, but as long as it not all consuming then its alright.
This year for my business has been very ordinary (even more ordinary than my personal life and that's saying something

) and I am going to close one my shops very soon, probably should have done it six months ago, but I kept hanging in hoping sales would improve and now things have got to a ridiculous level with tax bills, amounts outstanding to suppliers, threats of legal action by some who are owed money and what do I do, I go and buy another bike
But need to look forward and focus upon the current situation with a plan to maintain and build the remaining shop and reopen the other shop in the future.

I tried getting it out on the weekend but by the end of the street it was too painful to have my foot on the peg for any amount of time.

I might need to invest in a Harley style highway peg for my right leg.

I have the solution for you Nelso!!! Stick some crash knobs on!!! I have some on my rex and they are literally like a harley style forward control, with just hte footrest!! I use them on the long straight stuff to stretch my legs. they work a treat and it might just get you back out riding in the interim!!
Of all people in here, I know what you are going through and while it might seem a bit tough now, things WILL improve!!! every day will get easier and the light at the end of the tunnell will keep getting brighter day by day. Right now you are probably thinking like I was...which is the world sucks!! But it WILL DEPFINATELY IMPROVE each day!!! Good luck and if there is anything I can do, pls ask!!!!!

How about a Curry next Tuesday night?? Would that help??? Thumbs up and all if we can get Phil onboard!!!!!

Sorry to hear nelso. You did the right thing by talking to people. To come out of a downer you always need a great group of mates to pull you through the hard times. wish you the best mate hope you come out of it quick
Tue Jul 28, 2009 5:33 pm
Thats no good Nelso, but it all has a way of working itself out.
I went thru some pretty bad times with my ex and thought it would never end, but it does, and then gets better and better.
Good luck with it all..
