Ummmm .... may I suggest that if you buy a 2nd hand Jeep , you make sure it passes on to some other poor sucker in a very short space of time ;)

They have great motors (the old 245 hemi) and go like stink but the reliability / parts backup/$$$ leaves a bit to be desired to say the least. IMO

Buy a Sierra if you want the soft top 4WD thing IMO ... far cheaper , chicks love em nearly as much as bikes and a hell of a lot of fun(plus you can shut down almost any other 4wd in the sand / bush) :kuda: :kuda:

I was just about to suggest a Lexus. Or even a BMW. However be aware with both marques they can be horrendously expensive to repair. Parts for BMW's are stupidly expensive, nice cars however.

Also, consider a Honda Accord. Not sure if the Accord Euro's will be in your price range, but for the quality and finish there is not much in the same category for the same kind of $$$.

Personally I would recommend a 6L V8, but since you've said it's not your thing your just going to have to put up with one of the lesser options  8)

Go old school Kev! Old School Sports cars ROCK, damn they're fun to drive!

It'd be great to have a classic once in your life and when you're young and not married with kids to drive around and a 50hr/week job is the perfect time! Old loved and restored cars have a soul and an appeal totally different to modern cars, you've gotta try 'em to see if that appeals to you tho, and I rekon chicks would TOTALLY dig it!

Here's my vote! (I know you said year 2000+) I want to own one again one day, here's links to 2 Fiat124 Sports. Orrrrr maybe an MG!

(Wouldn't want to be trying too much in the back seats tho) ;) :kuda:

Or an old RX7!

OOOOORRRRRRRRR for a similar experience as a drivers car in a "modern" package go this:

BIG mistake...many chicks come as a pair
(back in my day..the cars had bench seats, 3 in the front was cosy ;) )

an MX5 is a groovy car but its a one passenger model
I know.... I bought one and did it up for my daughter
(her boyfriend at the time hated it... )

Tim i'll love a old school car, like a mustang or a dodge charger but im not too good with my hands on stuff....(still haven't been able to fix my mums boot open indicator on the dash that doesnt want to turn off even though the back is closed). That MX-5 is for Gurls mann!!!! I love RX-7 (FD) but the Wankel engine seems a bit maintenance high and most of them are turbo-ed.

So am I right in assuming you want a hatchback 4 door , 4WD convertible that is 4-6 cylinders without an eccentric shaft , naturally aspirated with twin sidedraft throttle bodies and double overhead fuel injection , looks like a 70's american muscle car , is as reliable and economical as a Corolla for under 15 large.......

Hmmm .... how about text your name and favourite colour to 1800 3825697 yes , thats 1800(fucknows) and the answer will appear right there on your mobile !!!

i've owned 4 supra's in the last few years and they are a really well made car!

However you will get pulled over by every cop, given a ticket for ANYTHING, lose your licence even driving slowly.
Buy something a little older thats sportier, something thats mega comfy or something really cheap and save the rest!
