I looked at the 1200 wiring diagram and the front indicators and headlight share a common ground, which is also shared with the idiot lights. If the idiot lights are on then the break is only in the line to the headlight and indicators, if they are not on but the taillight is it's somewhere inbetween those. Should be a start. Good luck
