MUST DO for pure indulgence
Freycinet Lodge , east coast , set in a National Park . Very relaxing and an awesome brekky
Strahan Village , west coast , and do the Gordon River cruise on the "Lady Jane Franklin II " Buy the first class ticket and spend 6 hrs eating and drinking the best that Tassie produces . Nothing like a welcome on board glass of champagne at 8.30am   and a fascinating history tour along with the open bar !

Check out puretasmania.com.au
Ummmm let me see

Yes I know Matt- my dream was to ride down there. One of my best friends trailered her bike down last year and spent two weeks riding. She said the roads were awesome, and hardly any police around!

Thank you everyone. So far we have booked to fly into Launceston, to Cradle Mountain for two nights, back to Launceston, down to Hobart, hopefully Port Arthur from there. Have to check out some of the other places that you have all mentioned.

Thank you Tanya, have the sexy thermals all ready and I promise to give Tiger airlines a big miss!

I take it you didn't have to ring their customer service..

You'll like Tassie Wendy, it is quite pretty :) If the cadbury factory in Hobart is still open it's worth a look too

It's still open, but it's not worth a look.... Was there 2 weeks ago and it was a total waste of money. The take you into a room, show you a video, give you a poxy box of chocolates and send you on your way.

Make sure you do the Boags Brewery tour....if you like beer that is.

My outlaws live just outside Hobart and I find it all nice and relaxed.

The best part is the limited Optus reception, so no work cals.......

Strachan is fantastic, take the tour up the river to Hell's Gate......

Macca and I went a couple of years ago in december on the bikes.
Strathgordon is a MUST was wicked on the bikes apparently and in the car and have the best inland fish and chips!!!

we spent 10 days I think riding around but missed the north east coast. West coast is rugged and brilliant.

And glad to hear you have packed thermals. Even tho Im a mexican, i was wearing thermals down there in December. Although it was warm enought at Strahn to go swimming
