I was just reading another post where someone unfortunately lost their job.
We are in extremely tough times, so I though since this fantastic website attracts all types of professions, is it worth trying to help those who have found hard times with employment?
Perhaps if you know of any businesses who are looking for full time / part time / casual labour, this might just help you take that first step........put them forward. Afterall, it might just prevent a sales of a much loved scooter......
Just a thought.......

Yeah Ardy, NSW have heavily advertised POLICE recruitment campaigns on at the moment
Wish I was young again

There are always jobs going in the NSW Police but entry is competative and you have to have kept your nose clean since you were a toddler pretty much. Oh, and enjoy the 12k HECS debt when you leave the college. Apart from that it's a great job and there will always be a need for cops!

You don't have to pay for anything when you join here. The 9 months of training is all paid for.
And Rob, you don't need to be young. I had a bloke in my course who was 46!!

Like the Police of most states, Defence is always looking for able bodied people. Basically if you can stand up, see lightning and hear thunder you can apply. Good pay, plenty of opportunity to travel, free medical and dental, subsidised rent, plenty of opportunities for bettering yourself with subsidised education, the list goes on. There is also the Public Servant avenue, although APS is a bit harder to get into. Hmmm, I should be in recruiting. I wonder if I could get a pay rise for the free defence plug

BTW, all training is paid for as well. Actually, most of the time you get paid for going on courses
