Is there anyones else that feels footy should be just footy not what players do on their own time?

footy is shit!!!!! thats all i can say. used to watch it religiously & played for a few years. but after the super league shit and all this salary capping and new rules, i cant stand it. I know it has helped the players with less of the serious injuires, but fark its a contact sport like my martial arts. you are going to get hurt either way.They need to HTFU and play real mans footy.

Footy: I don't follow it AT ALL, but I happened to watch the bulldogs and titans game this weekend with a mate and it was thrilling!! Can be a very exciting game and DAMN it's rough!!!!!

I thing we sometimes need to be reminded of the nature of the media. It does what ignites interests, and thus can sell advertising. Once something is in the public consciousness if they DON'T drain it of all its drama they loose advertising to other companies. It elevates and relates EVERYTHING IT POSSIBLY CAN for better or worse about a small number of normal people to make money. That's what you see with all of this crap, they're normal weak people with public lives. I wouldn't trade my privacy for their money/fame/job and I actually feel sorry for people in the public eye.
