My daughter bought a new ninja 250 she has only done 3000klms on it and it has a crack between the seats it is small but she took it back to kawasaki in brisbane and the took photos and sent it to melbourne ,They have now come back saying she put something heavy on the rear seat she cant even take passengers,What i want to know has any one else had this cracking, I do know off one other

Hi Paul, welcome to KSRC :D if something was PUT on the rider seat or passenger seat the weight is transfered through to the frame or sub frame, so it seems strange that they would say something like that :? mate keep persisting......... K Aust have a reputation of being hard nosed but you are the consumer & you do have rights so keep at them.

Ring their technical services people at Rydalmere. ZX10's had some cracking problems with the tail piece which a ferw of us experienced. Kawasaki tried saying it was mistreatment in some cases but when you push them they replaced them. Putting something heavy on the seat is crap, what ...... she put something heavier than a human on the bike????????

Hey Paul i work for a kawasaki dealer in Adelaide and have worked on alot of 250's and have never seen this problem. Will have to keep an eye on it.
