I know a few guys have stated that the transit is a good reliable van! I work in the industry and would have to disagree. Maybe they've been lucky so far, but once again, I'd stay away!!! They use the Euro donk!!!

Yep European based .... my one has had a replacement clutch at 80K KM... yes its an auto... & a wheel bearing + a recall about the driveshaft all under warranty, but I have had less problems with this than the F250 from new.... the big truck had about ten grand worth of work done on it over 100K Kms under warranty

Farkin not built in Detroit but in Mexico as were all the exports....... bloody Mexicans
Marty I suppose I am not too concerned about potential problems as I scammed a 1 year full warranty on the Transit & being a work vehicle I am not personally out of pocket should something go wrong... which it has & has cost the dealer a fair bit

I can only go off ownership & not industry knowledge but all the couriers that I know that have them are not winging so they cant be too bad.

I had a Vito for awhile and never touched it, the 25,000k oil changes are nice to. Sold it because it started bending in the middle from carrying to much weight!
Back to utes for me

18 months with a Merc MB100D - 2.9L diesel, 10L per hundred average. It's a bit loud in the cab, but zero issues so far.

The Transit is fun though.
You'll be indicating when you want the wiper's on, wiping when you want the indicator's on
and then start doing the same in your own car
