The only downside i can see about the new zzr6 is the seat height of 32.3 inches = @820mm, I hope it still has the spacer above the shock like the 01-02 zx6r did for the shorter legged Kwika riders be the perfect bike to upgrade from the 250 crop for MOST riders. Polished wheels n a big can & it may even look reasonable
Cheers Brett

For me that's a good side ;)
Higher seat of the ZX6, with the higher bars of the ZZR sounds like a good setup.
Mind you the damb thing's still too small and I'd still look like a lollipop

Looks like a good thing, but for a thousand u.s. less no fuel injection and no slipper clutch is a bit of a bummer. Would be a good thing for touring on though with the higher bars and all and you wouldnt need a slipper clutch on one of those.

If it as good as they make it sound then it could be a contender for my next bike...

You just need to add the freight cost to get it from the US to here....

I honestly can't understand why Kawasaki Australia don't replace the current ZZR with this bike. The ZZR1200 is no more, so why not replace the 600 aswell?

Hmm lets see
We've got X amount of old bikes to get rid of  lets send them to OZ and other 3rd world countries and send the all new ones to our big markets.. when we have no more old stock then we'll send the newer type over there.. The Japs did it with cars , no V6's or turbo's etc and now they're doing it with bikes !

or I could be wrong and just paranoid !!

Some would argue that the "new" U.S. ZZR600 is the old bike though Mario!

Yeah it's a great little bike (wouldn't mind one of those myself  )

I also agree that it should replace the aging ZZR6 over here...slacky Kwacky.

Great to see the J1 alive and kicking!

Only slack thing is that they kept the annoying fuel-tap, how hard would it have been for them to ditch it and stick a warning light on the dash.

Thanks for the review.

does any of our greatly knowledagle ppl on this site know of any other model(s) that has been graced enough and loved enough and GOOD enough to come back for an encore performance?! GO the ZX6R-J1!!!!! i can tell you it is exactly what they say, an awesome little bike that is not overly racey but can easily keep up with (and/or kill) the current lot of un-comfy 600's (in the right hands! )
What a great honor for this model year bike to come back again!!
oh,
yeah, is it the 599 or 636??? good post aardvark!
