They actually look like a kryptonite wrap around lock for your engine & frame. nothing like a bit of security XXknight.gif

well... I just tonight did a stationary drop of my bike, and so fkn pissed off cuz it was such a clean old bike. either way - if i had crash knobs i wouldn't have a single fkn scratch on my fairings! only cosmetic damage, no cracks just scratches and gouges, funnily enough just around the area where the crash knobs would have sat!!!! fk!!
Get some... knobs save fairings for slow or stationary drops... drop your bike at speed n its gonna cop fair damage knobs or not.

(side note - YOUR LUCKY! your model has knobs readily available... my old 02' zx6r has only one option for knobs - and R&G set at over 300bucks from OS which sux nuts. but the little scratches n marks will probably cost just as much to repair - brake lever is also bent but... its kinda an excuse to buy some pazo or watever levers meow!!!)

Have read about 'race bars'... alot more protection but they stand out alot more.
I don’t care how liberated this world becomes – a man will always be judged by the amount of alcohol he can consume – and a woman will be impressed, whether she likes it or not.

There the go. I had a stack doing 80km/h and scratched up left fairing while wiating for knobs to arrive, @ days later they where on but damage was already done. They come with bracket that mounts off the engine head and will never have a bike now without them. Cost me $260 from dealer, $120 to fit. Worth it as a new fairing will cost me $500 plus.
