ZX12R or ZX10R?

i sat on a heap of bikes today while in Sydney city cycles just to get a feel, and MAN are there different ones out there. a zx10r is too small for me, i want something with me sitting less on top & at the front. i'd hate to imagine what you'd feel sitting on it.

today i sat on a zx10r, zx12r, zx6r, zzr600, z1000, zx6, fazer and they all felt different. Seriously go and sit on the bikes in the riding position and see which one you could see yourself on in 12 months (not 2 days) time. I'd toss up between your curent beast (the zzr600 felt so nice, i can imagine similar things about the 1200) or the zx12r.

The jury is in.

Rode the ZX10 today.

Expected it to be flighty and twitchy. Boy was I wrong!!!!
It actually felt quite grounded and held its line very well. At road legal speeds.

Loved the all over power from the fuel injection.

Stalled it twice at the lights - initial take off.

Didnt like the vibration, induction noise and the hard to get down changes. These where made easier by reving just before the down change. (??? Seemed Easier)

Would like to try one for the weekend, to get a better over-all feel.

From what i have heard quite a few of them have stiff gearboxs to the point of blisters on ya toes after a days riding
Be a great toy but

just relaxing after a track day... toes blistered, sore ankles and tried wrists... lol

actually, its not that bad guys. I loved it. Just a little worn out. I LOVE THE INDUCTION ROAR and the vibration just makes it so uncouth I just love it.

(note to self, get knee pads before leaning too far over... now to the tailor)

I found the opposite with the gear changes, if I was too light in shifting; it couldn't decide which gear to go too and then CLUNK in it would go hopefully nothing breaks if that happens again, could be still tight (Adjusting the gear shifter ATM). Anyway, have done the break-in and went for a decent squirt to Kenillworth and back this morning, wow.. Iam in love.. farkin back end at one point was in a nice powerslide and the bike just powered out of it and down the straight we went with the front wheel just off the road

I don't think I had time to watch the speedo

But only one complaint or minor concern, it is the same I guess with all big engines (same on the ZZR1200) that is I can feel the higher rev's do add an extra element of centrifical g-force reaction (latitudinal torque) which I have to counteract by manhandling it a bit more in addition to the wheel g-forces of course.
Is this just me or am I right?
