All of these bands are CLOSE GOOD mates who make GREAT music that you might like if you like their style. You can trust the quality, all depends on style 8)

Will start with six, and add more if get the time or people release albums.

Enjoy.

RAP/HIP HOP
Rapaport

He just released his first solo album which I just brought and can't stop playing in the car. Getting RAVE reviews in Drum Media and 3D World, and In his bands has supported Cat Empire TZU etc etc.
2nd in 2007 Australian Leg of Worldwide MC comp ScribbleJam.
4 tracks to download off his site.

PROG/HARD ROCK
Rob, you might like these 2 :) Dave's bands have supported Karnivool multiple times, one of the best metal show's I've seen Karnivool and Self at the Annandale. Also many others, Clutch I think, Helmet etc etc.
Superb Lyrebird

Moody, angular, dynamic, contemplative, cerebral and sometimes hugely powerful, sometimes beautifully restrained, Dave and mates have created a sound that draws you in and never lets you go. (Loving the new track "still")

Dave's other band:
SELF - IS A SEED

Thick and dense and angular, think Tool/Karnivool

METAL
DAMARILL
Image

In the vein of Metallica, Killswitch Engage; big riffs, double kick, solos.
*Some "METAL" growling vocals*

JAZZ
ADAM SMYTH - GUITARIST/COMPOSER
Image

Young Jazz guitarist reaching his wings out and seeing how far he can fly. Inspired by the likes of Kurt Rosenwikle, John Scofield Adam's paying his dues and plays how I'd love to :) (maybe because he's living the dream, not just teaching :) )

SOLO
Jaryd Scully

Fantastic eclectic Guitarist/Composer/Producer writing and recording his own pieces. Inspired by the likes of coldplay, sufjan stevens, pink floyd, radiohead.

Tim as soon as you mention Karnivool I sit up & take notice 8) best ever gig was them & Dead Letter Circus at the Roxy.... the house was packed & went totally off I thought the roof was going to cave in :P
Karnivool is so underrated & having Ian Kenny swapping with Birds of Tokyo I reckon impedes their success.
Dave sounds pretty talented def some tool influence there & I like the timing changes in his tracks.
