One time that I am glad we weren't going just a bit faster..

Postby Black Magic » Mon Apr 06, 2009 6:02 am

Mike took me out on the back of the Busa yesterday (a bit of bike therapy.)

After all of the heavy rain there were a lot of potholes and debris on the road, but nothing compared to this.

A huge landslide straight onto this car! We got there just after it happened. There is a huge cut-out in the mountain on one side (where all of the rocks came from) and a sheer drop off on the other side. Guy had kids in the car.

Needless to say that we were watching more than just the road for the trip home!

Saw that on the news last night - as you say you're very lucky you weren't further ahead.
That family was VERY lucky.

 FAAARK
You think your lucky you weren't a few seconds ahead, imagine the car. If they were another half a second ahead the rock would have been on the roof. If it was a couple i'll bet the bloke was counting his lucky stars the missus took so long to put her make-up on this time!!
I plan on living forever..............so far so good!!

holy crap on a cracker.....how lucky are you?? That's amazing!

Would have been one hell of a shock for the driver - especially with the kids in the car.
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!
