Riding gear and Clothing Discussion

So i've brought these newish RST pants. They're everything you need in leather pants with all the bells and whistles including knee sliders.
I only ride on the road, and have never dragged the knee although lately i have been getting occassionly heavier lean angles.
As soon as i got em i joked to my brothers "i should give these a tap on the bench grinder so i look cool!!" (knowing i'll probably never touch em on the road) and we all had a little laugh. Then i got to thinking wether or not i should just take the damn things off?
Should i take them off (velcro) and just put them aside, or leave them on (but look like a douche because they'll be forever sparkly and new looking)..........you never know one day i might surprise myself while cornering?

leave em on, they are handy when you get on your knee's looking under you bike or someone elses.

saves the bugs getting stuck in your velcro too

I've got them on my leathers and the damage on them is from being thrown around in the cupboard

.
Leave em on you never know what could happen or when they might come in handy.

you may also never know when russ turns up with a missing one and he's very obliging when it comes to scuffing them up for you

If you do put em on a grinder, just be sure to grind them in the right direction

My Dririder winter pants are a testiment to touchdown.... & after seeing the job that Andrewk did on his his draggins on last Fridays putty run, I would suspect that having them is handy for the odd road touchdown
