Tank overflow?

Was just wondering where the hole in the pic below (not my bike but similare) Drains to?Does it go into the tank or ?????

Umm....isn't that the hole for the tank breather? To stop a vacuum from forming in the tank?

That's what it is on my GPZ500 but I could be wrong.

It goes to one of the breather hoses hanging fron the bottom of the bike

I was asking cause when I washed the bike afterward's I thought I'd see how much fuel I had and there was water running down there :shock: ....

i think you will find it to be the drain for when you over fill so the fuel doesn't flow all over the bike
