:shock: the saying "there has to be a better way" comes to mind...... surely shovels a few mates and an hour or so and it'd be out with no damage?

Was watching Malcolm Douglas just last week in a situ not too dissimilar. First thing that comes to my mind (and i've never even been in this situ before) is try pull the bastard out realtively straight rather than at right angles.. What Malcolm Douglas did in this sort of situ was he had the winch cable running over the spare tire ehcne giving height to the winch cable and an extra pulley was a top idea and worked damn fine.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"
