ausfr.com.au

Comfort Kits are the go although not sure if they make them for your model. They do for the 10

ausfr do a kit that comes with everything u need to do the conversion (longer cables/brake lines)... comes to 803 bux for the j series 6 version

here is an image of it on a 02 ZX9R

Image

i would check this but it also says that the kit for my model requires no screen or fairing modification...

I think the kit for the 10 says the same but they give you a small spacer that fits between the top fairing bracket ie where the mirror bolts on and the fairing. This just lifts the screen enough to get you full lock.

These things are pretty cool and look pretty trick i reckon. Watties keen for me to do the 10 so he can go Hyper Motarding

does the little spacer bend the plastic of the screen?? how does it move it given its fixed to the fairing??

the angle on the bar clamps is angled a long way back and this obviously helps with clearance... that 6 also has a new upper fairing brace as the standard one needs to be removed...

just checked again and it says it includes fairing riser brackets... so thats what that brakcet i can see is doing...

thanks for this glen... things might start happening over the next couple of months...

wattie called his 10 with a ventura back a hyper-tourer but he was definitely missing these!!!

i would suggesty rider bars as opposed to a mx bar, can make all the world of difference having the bars a couple cm further from the tarmac.

[edit]helibars is the brand that springs to mind [/edit]

helibars solve some of the height issue but they keep the reach factor that the standard ones have... heli bars are always an option....

Why on earth would you want to do that to the 6 Pinchy? (You might've told me but I'm pretty sure I would've been drunk at the time)

Just do what I did and buy some more bikes for when you're over the sporty position for riding around town :kuda:

....you can never have too many bikes (as long as they are Kawasaki's)

 ZX6R mini-ulti-motard

im sure there would be an exhange policy... the website clearly states what is needed by way of fairing or screen mods... so i assume all is well... with the wide bars i could get me elbows out like a motocross rider

its actually cheaper ot buy from a britich site rather than ausfr... :?
